Valencia Basket wraps up its week on the challenging court of Río Breogán

12/10/2024

Valencia Basket men's team faces its second away game of the week as they visit the Río Breogán’s court (Sunday, 13th, 17:00h, Pazo dos Deportes, Deportes 2 on M+) in a game corresponding to the third round of the Liga Endesa.

The team will aim to regain as much energy as possible after their effort to come back in the BKT EuroCup and seek their first away win in the Liga Endesa on a court where they have won the last two times but that has historically been challenging for our team (we have only won three of our last nine visits).

Repeating their shooting effectiveness after setting a record for three-pointers in European competitions and maintaining their excellent defensive numbers (we are the team that concedes the fewest points in the ACB, with 68.5) and offensive rebounding (grabbing 45% of the rebounds on the opponent's rim) will be crucial for achieving a good result in this always difficult venue.

In addition to the confirmed absence of long-term injured player Chris Jones, the participation of the two players is questionable until the last moment. Forward Semi Ojeleye is dealing with heel discomfort after getting a bruise in the midweek game in Cluj and has only been able to participate in one practice, but not at 100%.

On the other hand, the presence of Serbian point guard Stefan Jovic cannot be confirmed until shortly before the game, as the club has excused him from team activities due to personal matters. Valencia Basket begins this third round in fifth place, with a record of 1-1.
