Valencia Basket held off the visitors' comeback in the second half to secure their ninth win in the BKT EuroCup against Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem by 96-83 in a game where the taronja squad built a significant lead in the first half thanks to their accuracy from three-point range. However, after the half-time, the Israeli team displayed the defensive qualities that made them the best defensive team in the tournament, closing a little the gap points with five minutes to go. Valencia Basket took an early lead thanks to their three-point shooting, and although the Israeli team came close again, a spectacular finish to the first quarter started to build a lead that Valencia Basket extended to 27, closing their rim for over five minutes in a 20-0 run. The visitors' response started at the end of the first half and was extended by the outside shooting of Carrington and Harper, cutting the deficit to ten at the start of the third quarter. Although Valencia Basket managed to stifle the reaction by improving defensively and finding their shooting touch again, the Israeli team continued to pressure defensively to slow down the orange offense and get back into the game, getting closer with five minutes left. But Badio and Jones secured the win in the final stretch, keeping Valencia Basket undefeated in the competition.
