First away game in the 7DAYS EuroCup to visit the Lokomotiv Kuban’s court

Valencia Basket ends the first round of the 7DAYS EuroCup Regular Season with their first away game for visit Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar’s court (Wednesday 9, 18:30 h, Basket Hall, Teledeporte / Eurosport2). Will be the first game without Bojan Dubljevic, injured in the ankle right in Fuenlabrada and that will be out of the courts at least during three weeks. Taronja team returns for the third time to a scenario where almost get one of the biggest comebacks of their European history, with a epic win in the 2012-13 Eurocup semi-finals game 2 (63-68) that was not enough to get to the Eurocup Finals. Valencia Basket is currently second in the Group D of the EuroCup 7DAYS, with a balance of two victories and one defeat.

 

P. Martínez: “They have a very complete roster, with high level players”

Valencia Basket coach Pedro Martinez has attended Media in the airport of Manises before the team starts their travel to Kranosdar and said about a team which played the Euroleague Final Four las season that "Lokomotiv Kuban preserved several players of the last season and have signed high level players. Well know players, which much experience in Euroleague. I think that they are the best team of the group although is truth that they not have started well, but certainly is the most complete roster of all teams participating in this group D and no doubt one of favorites to the win this trophy".

 

Bojan Dubljevic, out for the game

Valencia Basket center Bojan Dubljevic had to withdraw from the Endesa League game played on Saturday at Montakit Fuenlabrada´s court when he get injured in the right ankle. After the scanning and the complementary tests that player has been undergone, has been diagnosed that Dubljevic suffers a second degree right ankle sprain. Deemed necessary a period of recovery from at least three weeks, marked by the evolution of this medical condition. Taronja expedition has traveled this morning from Manises airport with the other eleven available players and will be a unique practice session at destination, on the morning of game day.
