Turkish Airlines Euroleague returns to Fonteta with a big game vs. Anadolu Efes

19/10/2017

Turkish Airlines Euroleague returns to the Fonteta 1,038 days after the last game of this competition in the taronja court with a duel of two teams that want to win for the first time in this edition of Euroleague between Valencia Basket and Anadolu Efes Istanbul (Friday 20, 21: 00, Fonteta, Movistar Deportes 1). Everything is ready for the return to the maximum continental competition with a gym that will present the atmosphere of the great occasions thanks to the sponsorship of Pamesa Cerámica. The Taronja squad will try to change their bad dynamics in the Euroleague home premiere against a rival that lost in their previous two visits to Valencia in the maximum continental competition.

Bojan Dubljevic, who suffered a broken nasal septum in Sunday's game against Real Madrid, will be able to participate in Friday's match with a mask. However, coach Txus Vidorreta does not recover any of the other three injured players (Fernando San Emeterio, Antoine Diot and Latavious Williams continue recovering from their respective injuries). This Turkish Airlines Euroleague week 2 game faces two of the best scorers of the first day of the competition, who are also the leading scorers in the Endesa League and the Turkish League respectively: Erick Green and Errick McCollum.

Vidorreta: "Our options are to remain competitive and claim a little more accuracy"

Valencia Basket coach Txus Vidorreta said) that "we saw in the week 1 that there were very few away victories and that is something that was a trend last year. We have to keep on the good line of competing as we did in Moscow and claiming a little bit more accuracy. If we start to be the team we want to be when it comes to moving the ball, to pull with confidence, to attack strongly the offensive rebound ... If we are at the defensive and competitive level that we had in Moscow and we maintain the accuracy we had in the last quarter vs. Real Madrid we will have many options against a very difficult team like Anadolu Efes"
