Matt Thomas, winner of the Endesa League 3-point contest with a new scoring record

22/09/2018

Valencia Basket shooting guard Matt Thomas has been proclaimed this afternoon the winner of the El Corte Inglés 3-point contest that was played in Santiago de Compostela before the Championship game of the Endesa Super Cup Endesa. The new taronja signing taronja becomes the first player of Valencia Basket that manages to win a 3-point contest of the Endesa League. Before him, Captain Rafa Martínez and Berni Álvarez (twice) had been finalists.

The 80 points scored by the taronja escort (of 90 possible) represent the record of a champion of a ACB 3-point contest since this competition began to play in the 1988-89 season. The accuracy of Matt Thomas exceed the record until today, which was in the hands of Marcus Eriksson with the 74 points he got last season to win in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
