Rytas Vilnius, a rival in a winning streak and at its best moment of the season

03/03/2019

Valencia Basket opens tomorrow its 7DAYS EuroCup quarterfinals series vs. Rytas Vilnius (Tuesday 5, 20:45h, Fonteta, Teledeporte) at the best moment of the season for the Lithuanian team. The team led from the bench by Dainius Adomaitis arrives at the Fonteta with an open streak of eight wins in a row, recently took the title of the Cup of his country after beating Zalgiris Kaunas in the final and certified its ticket for the 7DAYS EuroCup Playoffs with two wins in the last two rounds of the Top 16, including a buzzer-beater win on the court of Partizan.

A team led by the Rok Stipcevic and Chris Kramer, which has some players with ACB experience as Eimantas Bendzius and DJ Seeley, national level players as Butkevicius or Echodas and the bright future of the very young Deividas Sirvydis (2018 Adidas Next Generation Tournament MVP), was joined at the beginning of the Top 16 by the Belarusian center Artsiom Parakhouski. Its integration could not be faster, to the point that the new Rytas Vilnius’ center was the player with the best PIR of the Top 16 with an average of 21.2.
