The 7DAYS EuroCup semifinals moves to the complicated court of Unics Kazan for the second round

21/03/2019

Valencia Basket has the first of its two opportunities to get the ticket for the EuroCup Finals in the semifinals game 2 against Unics Kazan (Friday 22, 17:00h, Basket Hall, Teledeporte) after prevailing in the first game of the series played on Tuesday at Fonteta for a result of 69-64. The taronja team will return for the first time to Kazan's Basket Hall after raising the title of EuroCup 2014 on that same stage, a court in which the orange squad has a tied balance of two wins and two losses.

If Valencia Basket is able to find the way to break the unbeaten record in this Unics Kazan tournament on its own gym (10-0 for the Russian side at home in the 7DAYS EuroCup), our team would not only achieve the pass to its eighth European competition’s final, but would mark a new record of consecutive victories in the EuroCup (he comes to this games with an open streak of 13 wins in a row).

Joan Sastre, who fell injured in the first game of this Playoff (sprained right shoulder) is sidelined and didn’t travelled to Kazan with the team. Coach Ponsarnau called the other thirteen healthy players to the travel to Russia and should make a discard before the game.
