Alberto Abalde had surgery on the third finger of the right hand

In the last quarter of yesterday's game vs. Unicaja, Valencia Basketball player Alberto Abalde suffered a traumatism on the third finger of his right hand that prevented him from finishing the game.

The imaging tests that the taronja forward has undergone this morning have confirmed a 3 mm tear of the extensor tendon of the third finger of the right hand. Once the diagnosis was confirmed, the suture of the tendon in the operating room has immediately proceeded successfully. The intervention was carried out by Dr. Ignacio Muñoz, head of medical services at Valencia Basket.

A recovery time of four weeks is considered necessary.
