Valencia Basket seeks to extend the winning-streak hosting Movistar Estudiantes

11/05/2019

Valencia Basket returns to the Fonteta just 42 hours after winning in the Palau Blaugrana to host Movistar Estudiantes (Sunday 12, 17:00h, Fonteta, Movistar Deportes) in a Endesa League round 32 game. The taronja team can mathematically certify their status as a top-seed for the Playoffs in the case of winning the game, although a Unicaja defeat in its game in Murcia would give the home-court in the quarterfinals before even start this game. And in case of achieving the victory, extend a positive streak that is already six wins in row in the Endesa League.

To try to get the win, the taronja team keeps the same two absences of the Barcelona match: Alberto Abalde (who continues with the recovery after being operated on a finger of the right hand) and Matt Thomas (operated on Friday in the right quadriceps). The team taronja has in favor its positive dynamic, the precedents in the Fonteta against this rival (has won in 10 of its last twelve visits) and the fact of having the most valued player in the Endesa League, Bojan Dubljevic with 16, 8 credits per game.

The Montenegrin center will live an interesting duel between two of the best rebounders of the championship before a Nik Caner-Medley who returns to the Fonteta as the best of the tournament in this section. Valencia Basket currently occupies the fourth position of the Endesa League with a balance of 21-10.
