Very hard test for the taronja streak with the visit to the court of Real Madrid

20/05/2019

Valencia Basket returns to compete in the Endesa League nine days after its last game to visit the court of Real Madrid (Tuesday 21, 21:00h, Wizink Center, #Vamos) in a game corresponding to round 33 postponed by the participation of the white team in the Euroleague Final Four. The taronja squad puts into play its good run in national competition (seven wins in a row) against another team that has not lost in April and May (Real Madrid has eight wins in a row in Liga Endesa) so one of the two positive dynamics will arrive to its end on Tuesday night.

Coach Jaume Ponsarnau recovers forward Alberto Abalde after recovering from a right hand finger injury but will have problems in his frontcourt rotation with Mike Tobey sidelined (subluxation of the left shoulder) and Louis Labeyrie as questionable (who suffered today an episode of vertigo that did not allow him to practice). It also maintains the already known absence of the shooting guard Matt Thomas.

With fourth place guaranteed mathematically and knowing that their rival in the quarterfinals of the Playoffs will be the Unicaja, the taronja squad will try to maintain its good performance in a court in which has won in three of its last eight visits.
