Valencia Basket seeks to close its week well on the demanding court of Baxi Manresa

26/09/2020

After opening its record of victories in the Endesa League on Friday afternoon vs. MoraBanc Andorra, the competition does not give a break and the Valencia Basket men’s team has hit the road this morning to visit the always demanding Baxi Manresa’s court (Sunday 27, 8:00 p.m., Fonteta, Movistar Deportes) in a game corresponding to round 3. This game was initially scheduled for Saturday afternoon, but the delay in their commitment to round two against the Andorran team also forced this game to be delayed.

The taronja team will seek their first official away win on a court where they have lost in their last two visits, although their record is much better if we open the range of precedents, with seven victories in their last ten visits.

In a game full of crossed paths between Manresa and Valencia, especially on the benches, the greatest is provided by Rafa Martínez, who will play again against Valencia Basket defending the Catalan team's jersey twelve years later.

Coach Jaume Ponsarnau maintains Vanja Marinkovic as the only sidelined player due to acute low back pain, in a game in which Fernando San Emeterio can beat Serhiy Lishchuk in games played with the taronja jersey.
