Final sprint for Valencia Basket in the tightest Turkish Airlines EuroLeague in history

23/03/2021

Valencia Basket has returned to practicing this morning to start preparing the first game of the final sprint of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season, which will face FC Bayern Munich on Thursday, March 25 at 9:00 p.m. in the Fonteta. A direct duel against another of the twelve teams involved in the fight for the seven available places to get into the tightest, most competitive and open Euroleague Playoff in history.

Never at this point, with four rounds to go, have there been so many gaps to fill in the second phase of the season. And get the ticket to the Playoffs have never been so expensive since there are no guarantees that with the 53% of wins that it had always ensured getting into the Playoffs with this Regular Season format (in this case, with 18 victories) will be enough to certify presence in the Top-8.

Valencia Basket has three home games remaining (Thursday against FC Bayern Munich, Wednesday March 31 against Olympiacos Piraeus and the closing against TD Systems Baskonia scheduled for April 8) and the visit to the court of the ALBA Berlin on Friday April 2 to try to hold on to a fight in which nothing will be won or lost definitively after the result against the Bavarians. But in which a triumph for the taronja squad against FC Bayern Munich would allow them to stay at least one more week even with that eighth position that marks the limit to enter the post-season.
