Valencia Basket begins the final sprint of the Euroleague hosting FC Bayern Munich at Fonteta

24/03/2021

Valencia Basket opens the final stretch of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague with the aim of finding its best version at home again and adding a win that will allow the taronja squad to continue holding on to the fight to enter the most expensive Playoff in the recent history of the Euroleague facing one of the most competitive teams in the tournament, FC Bayern Munich (Thursday 25, 9:00 p.m., Fonteta, DAZN / Movistar dial 60) in a game corresponding to round 31.

Despite the fact that many players have physical problems of various kinds, the Taronja team is confident of being able to recover Bojan Dubljevic, Sam Van Rossom and Mike Tobey in time, although they know that Icelandic guard Martin Hermannsson will have to help his teammates by cheering from the perpendicular of the bench due to a muscular tear in the soleus.

As a guarantee, Valencia Basket has its strength on a court where in his last seven home games in the Euroleague has won six of them (Anadolu Efes Istanbul, Khimki Moscow Region, Crvena Zvevda mts Belgrade, CSKA Moscow, Real Madrid and Fenerbahçe Beko Istanbul) and has only lost once, on the last play, vs. Zalgiris Kaunas.

Hosting the team that scores the most two-point baskets in the competition, the taronja team will try to minimize the opponent's offensive capacity and maintain the good defensive performance of their last three wins in the Euroleague, in which they have left their rivals by only 60.6 points on average. The taronja team currently occupies the tenth position of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague with a balance of 16-14.
