Valencia Basket seeks to change its dynamics in Endesa League on the hard court of Lenovo Tenerife

27/03/2021

Valencia Basket puts the focus back on the Endesa League before facing the last double round of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague next week and does so with the complicated challenge of trying to change its dynamics in national competition on the court of one of the teams in the best shape of the tournament, Lenovo Tenerife (Sunday 28, 6:30 p.m., Santiago Martín, #Vamos) in a game corresponding to round 28.

The taronja squad will reach the figure of 1,200 games played in the acb in an important game to maintain the aspirations of finishing the Regular Season in the top four. A victory at Santiago Martín, especially if it is also possible to recover the six points for which the taronja squad lost in the first leg game at La Fonteta, would be a significant step forward in this fight.

Although the historical precedents are clearly favorable to the Taronja team, the Yellow and Black team has recently rewritten its particular history with Valencia Basket, achieving its first triumph at the Fonteta in this new acb era this season and achieving its first victory against the Taronja squad in which was the last visit to this gym, which ended with a resounding local victory by 100-66.

Although there are still several players who suffer physical discomfort, only the point guard Martin Hermannsson due to a fibrillar tear in the soleus of the right leg is sidelined for this game, so coach Ponsarnau will have to leave one of 13 players available out of the roster. Valencia Basket currently occupies the fifth position in the Endesa League with a balance of 17-9.
