Bec Allen re-signs with Valencia Basket

17/05/2021

The Valencia Basket project continues to consolidate itself in the elite of Spanish women's basketball. After a great season in which the team reached the three finals of the three competitions it played, lifting the EuroCup Women title, the taronja team seeks to reinforce and lay the foundations of a historic squad for the 2021-22 season.

With that objective, Valencia Basket has reached an agreement with Bec Allen, to continue wearing taronja next season. The Australian player joins Raquel Carrera, Queralt Casas, Anna Gómez, Laura Gil and Cristina Ouviña, who were already under contract for next season. The forward has burst into the team in her first year and will continue to be an important piece next season.

Second season

The wing player came to Valencia Basket last season from Polish Arka Gydnia playing Euroleague and New York Liberty playing the WNBA, where she is currently competing. In her first season in the Ciudad del Turia she averaged 14.3 points (with around 40% accuracy in three pointers), 3.9 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.5 steals and 14.3 efficiency between LF Endesa and EuroCup Women. With the Taronja jersey she has played a total of 47 games (36 in LF Endesa, 3 in Copa de la Reina, 7 in EuroCup Women and 1 in Supercopa) and has already begun to enter the history of the Club. She is 6th in points (599) and 3rd in three pointers (95), taking into account that this last data started to be registered when the team moved up to LF2.
