24/05/2021

The Valencia Basket project continues to consolidate itself in the elite of Spanish women's basketball. After a great season in which the team has reached the three finals of the three competitions it has played, lifting the EuroCup Women title, the taronja team seeks to reinforce and lay the foundations of a historic squad for the season 2021-22.

With this objective in mind, Valencia Basket has reached an agreement with Marie Gülich so that she will continue to be part of the team next season. The German player thus joins Lorena Segura, Leticia Romero, Bec Allen, Raquel Carrera, Queralt Casas, Anna Gómez, Laura Gil and Cristina Ouviña for the next campaign. The international has proven to be an important asset in the team's internal game this year and to have a great commitment, so the Club is committed to renewing its contract and continuing to grow like a damn next season.

Second season

Gülich came to club taronja last season from the Polish Arka Gydnia, competing in the Euroleague, and Los Angeles Sparks, competing in the WNBA. In his first year at Valencia Basket, he has averaged 8.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists and a PIR of 10.7 between LF Endesa and EuroCup Women. With the taronja shirt he has played a total of 41 games (31 in LF Endesa, 3 in Copa de la Reina and 7 in EuroCup Women). In addition, she is already 9th in rebounding in the history of the Valencia Basket women's team, with a total of 191 sacks under the rim. This data began to be recorded after the ascent to LF2.
