First chance for Valencia Basket in the EuroCup Finals game 2 on the ALBA Berlin’s court

11/04/2019

Valencia Basket has traveled this morning to Germany to play on the court of ALBA Berlin the EuroCup Finals game 2 (Friday 12, 20:00h, Mercedes-Benz Arena, Teledeporte). After the win in the first game of the series by a score of 89-75, the taronja team has tomorrow its first chance to achieve its fourth continental title after the EuroCup of 2003, 2010 and 2014.

The team led by Jaume Ponsarnau will try to extend a streak that is already the best in the history of the Club in European competitions (15 wins in a row) to try to prevent the EuroCup Finals to come back to the Fonteta for a third and final game to be played on Monday 15 at 20:30h. To do this, the taronja squad must keep repeating the excellent defensive exercise of the first game to clog the offensive machinery of a rival that is the best attack of the competition (the German team scores 90.5 average points in their European games at home), the most valued team and one of the teams that best runs in transition on the continent.

To look for the second and final point of the Finals, coach Jaume Ponsarnau will have the absence of Guillem Vives (torn muscle in his right thigh) and will have to make a technical discard among the other thirteen available players.
