Valencia Basket adds the young Slovenian center Mojca Jelenc

Valencia Basket has reached an agreement for the young Slovenian center Mojca Jelenc (2.00m, Slovenia, 04/01/2003, 21 years old) to join the Club for the next three seasons, until 2027, and continue her training as a player from the hand of Valencia Basket. The new Taronja player comes from the first team of ŽKK Cinkarna Celje, which competes in the Slovenian top category and the Adriatic league.

In this way, Jelenc joins the Club and next season she will be linked to making work compatible between the Valencia Basket first women's team and La Cordà de Paterna in LF Challenge.

The inside player has averaged 16.2 points, 8 rebounds and 20 PIR in the Slovenian league, being the second best scorer in the competition, to help her team become champion. In the Adriatic League, Jelenc has produced an average of 10 points, 7 rebounds, 2.3 blocks and 13.8 efficiency per game, helping his team also lift the title for the third consecutive year.

Jelenc, a regular in the training categories with Slovenia with whom he has played in two U16 European Championships and one U20 European Championship, is beginning to have a presence with the senior team, as he played in the 2023 Eurobasket qualifier, in which he averaged 9, 2 points, 5 rebounds and 13.5 efficiency in 6 games. She was also called up for the qualifying window for the next Eurobasket in 2025.
