Jr.NBA World Championship- Europe Training Camp Day 2: Discovering Valencia

02/08/2018

The second day of the Jr.NBA World Championship- Europe Training Camp that is being developed in L'Alqueria del Basket lives today a very special day. Thursday has started early to get on the bus after breakfast and make a panoramic tour of the city of Valencia before the morning practice.

The boys and girls of Team Europe and their coaches have toured some of the most significant monuments of the city, such as the City of Arts and Sciences, Colón Market, City Hall Square, Serranos and Quart Towers, The bus stopped and the expedition made a quick visit to the College of High Silk Art and its museum, which reopened its doors to the public two years ago after the rehabilitation promoted by the Hortensia Herrero Foundation. Mestalla or the Palau de la Música were on the way back before starting the first practice session of the day.

The Vice President Europe, Africa & Middle East & Managing Director of NBA Spain, Chus Bueno, was waiting for the campers in L'Alqueria del Basket to send them a motivating message and wish them luck representing Europe in the Jr.NBA World Championship that will be played next week in Orlando.

The practice sesión on the court has influenced some of the aspects that were already worked on the Training Camp day 1 and worked on new ones, which allows European teams to continue advancing in their preparation for the big event. To continue breaking with the routine on a different day, the afternoon practice session will change stage and move to the beach, where physical work will be done, but with space for fun.
