The games marathon continues with the visit of Montakit Fuenlabrada to the Fonteta

10/03/2017

Valencia Basket will play their third game within seven days receiving Montakit Fuenlabrada on the return of the Endesa League to the taronja pavilion (Saturday 11, 19: 00h, Fonteta, Movistar Deportes 1). The Valencian team will try to extend their good momentum in the Fonteta (with 10 wins in a row in the Endesa League and no loses since October 19th) with only with nine professional players available to face this game due to the absences by injury of Guillem Vives (ankle sprain), Antoine Diot (fibrillar fascia fracture) and Slava Kravtsov (fifth metatarsal left foot fracture). Power forward Will Thomas will reach the 100 games in the Endesa League in this game in which the Taronja team defends its good balance in the precedents against the Madrid team, which has won their last four visits to the Fonteta. Valencia Basket currently occupies the fourth position of the Endesa League, with a balance of 15 victories and 6 losses.

Montakit Fuenlabrada has gotten into the fight by entering the posts that give access to the Play-off with a good streak of seven victories in its last eleven games, including the solid win vs. Tecnyconta Zaragoza by 93-80. The Madrilenian team arrives at Fonteta with the MVP of the last day, Montenegrin Blagota Sekulic, in their ranks and as one of the best teams of the championship in the offensive rebound. Jota Cuspinera has his entire squad available with the exception of Álex Llorca, seriously injured in his right knee since December. Montakit Fuenlabrada is tenth in the League Endesa, with a 10-12 in his locker.

Pedro Martínez: "We should think only about Montakit Fuenlabrada”

Valencia Basket coach, Pedro Martinez, said in the previous press conference that "all games have significance. Maybe in the Eurocup a little bit more important for the competition system, but in the Endesa League, even if it is Regular Season gamea are also important. Tomorrow's game is important for us, because we have come from a defeat at Baskonia’s court, because there is a lot of equality and we want to win it, we are not throwing the game or thinking that it is not important. With the players we have we must aspire and do what we can to win"
