Valencia Basket puts its streak to the test on the court of the leader Real Madrid

07/05/2021

Valencia Basket puts its good moment in acb, with five wins in a row, to test visiting the court of the leader Real Madrid (Sunday 9, 6:30 p.m., Wizink Center, #Vamos) in a game corresponding to round 36 of the Endesa League.

Jaume Ponsarnau's men will try to break a losing streak against the white team, which they have not beaten in national competition since the day Valencia Basket won the Endesa League in 2017 and against which they have lost twelve times in a row in Spanish tournaments, on a court where this season the taronja squad won in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague by 77-93.

Despite the forcefulness of that record, the balance of clashes this season is balanced, with two wins for each team in the previous four games played so far.

Fernando San Emeterio, who is still recovering from an acromioclavicular sprain in his right shoulder, will remain the only injury casualty for this game while Serbian Vanja Marinkovic is the non-Spanish raised player who is not in the 12-man roster so far.

The taronja squad currently occupies the fifth position in the Endesa League with a balance of 22-11.
