Valencia Basket opens the second leg of the acb on the complicated court of Unicaja

28/01/2023

Valencia Basket men’s team begins the second leg of the Endesa League by visiting the Unicaja’s gym (Sunday 29, 1:00 p.m., Martín Carpena, #Vamos) in a game of the round 18 of the national competition in which the taronja squad will try to extend his good dynamic of results (six wins in a row) facing one of the hottest teams in the competition.

To try to keep their good streak alive in the first of the four games in eight days ahead, Álex Mumbrú's men will have to try to impose their good offensive performance in recent games against the most efficient team in the Endesa League in defence.

Although the recent precedents are favorable to the Valencian team (they have won nine of their fourteen visits to the Malaga fiefdom), Unicaja has only lost twice on their court so far this season and has only suffered one defeat at home in the Endesa League (and it was on October 9 against Real Madrid).

Valencia Basket will repeat the same roster as in their triumph on Thursday in Berlin, with Bojan Dubljevic (right ankle sprain) and Jasiel Rivero (right knee sprain) off the list in addition to the long-term injured (Van Rossom, Hermannsson and Jiménez).

The positive note is put by the forward Víctor Claver, who could return to play a national competition game after already having twelve minutes in the game on Thursday at the ALBA Berlin stadium. Valencia Basket begins this day located in the 8th position of the Endesa League with a record of 9-8.
