The Endesa League returns to La Fonteta with the visit of Lenovo Tenerife

04/03/2023

Valencia Basket will try to hold on to the heat of its fans and its good moment at home in national competition (five wins in a row in the acb) to try to turn the page on the severe correction the taronja squad received on Friday night in Vitoria in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and recover their best version in the return of the Endesa League to Fonteta, facing one of the hottest teams before the break, Lenovo Tenerife (Sunday 5, 6:30 p.m., Fonteta, #Vamos) in a game corresponding to round 21.

Less than 44 hours after their European competition game, Álex Mumbrú's men will need to recover all the energy possible and feel the support of La Fonteta as the sixth player to carry out a challenge as demanding as that of facing against a rival that hasn't gotten off the leading van of the Endesa League all season.

A duel in which the battle of rhythm will be key to trying to impose the taronja style against an opponent who is the one who plays with fewer possessions in the acb. The precedents at home are favorable to the taronja team 10-2 in acb, although the black and yellow team won at Fonteta two seasons ago.

Coach Álex Mumbrú will have to leave out one of the three non-EU players (Rivero, Webb III or Harper), so the Icelandic point guard Martin Hermannsson could be the one chosen to complete the roster and return to the list 279 days after his severe left knee injury. Kyle Alexander, Sam Van Rossom and Millán Jiménez still sidelined.

Valencia Basket begins this round located in the 8th position with a balance of 10-10.
