High altitude duel in La Fonteta with the visit of Real Madrid

11/05/2023

Valencia Basket men's team returns to La Fonteta to face Real Madrid (Friday 12, 9:00 p.m., Fonteta, #Vamos) in a game that will close the round 32 of the Endesa League.

The taronja squad will try to extend its good dynamics in national competition at La Fonteta (where has won ten of its last eleven acb games) to protect the eighth position and add one of the two victories needed to guarantee the ticket to the Playoffs without having to depend on other results.

Although the atmosphere of the big nights is expected with tickets practically sold out, it will not be easy against an opponent against whom Valencia Basket have lost in the four previous games played this season (although in the last two games they have lost by very small margins) and to whom they have not been able to win in a Regular Season game at La Fonteta for more than a decade (the white team has won in their last eight visits to the Taronja fiefdom in the ACB Regular Season).

Real Madrid will be the first opponent against which Valencia Basket reaches the figure of 90 games in the Endesa League to remain our most frequent opponent in this competition.

Regarding last week's game in Manresa, Jasiel Rivero accumulates a little more rhythm but the same five sidelined players due to injury could be repeated (Sam Van Rossom, Klemen Prepelic, Xabi López-Arostegui, Jared Harper and Millán Jiménez), so the squad will be completed by a player from L'Alqueria del Basket.

Valencia Basket begins this round located in the 8th position of the Endesa League with a record of 16-15.
