The 2022-23 season began with more changes, starting again on the bench, where Joan Peñarroya was replaced by Álex Mumbrú, from Bilbao Basket.
In the squad, the changes would begin at the PG position, where Neno Dimitrijevic would give way to the American Chris Jones, who would pair up with Sam Van Rossom while waiting for the long recovery of Martin Hermannsson, seriously injured that same summer. For the guard position, the explosive North American combo Jared Harper was signed.
For the SG, after the recovery of Klemen Prepelic, the American Jonah Radebaugh joined the team, joining Xabi López-Arostegui and Josep Puerto in this position since the previous season. The outside line would be completed by Millán Jiménez, from L'Alqueria, although an ankle injury would hardly allow him to participate during the year.
Halfway between the inside and outside positions, in addition to the figure of Víctor Claver, the American James Webb III, from Murcia, would join the team. In the inside game, two high-profile departures after several years, Mike Tobey and Louis Labeyrie, who would make way for Kyle Alexander, who together with Webb, Jaime Pradilla, Jasiel Rivero and Bojan Dubljevic, completed the inside game.
The main sporting novelty compared to the previous season would be the inclusion in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, facilitated by an invitation after the veto to the participation of Russian teams in the middle of the invasion of that country to Ukraine.
The season was not easy from the beginning, where injury problems plagued the team again, especially in the point guard position. Sam Van Rossom was barely able to play the first few games, and the long recovery of Hermannsson, and the physical problems of Chris Jones, forced the club to move to strengthen the team, first recovering Guillem Ferrando from his loan, and then hiring Shannon Evans coming from Betis.
Qualifying for the Cup arrived in a hurry, and in it, in Badalona, the team showed a great face, taking Real Madrid to the limit, and even being able to win the game on a last shot by Chris Jones who spat out the ring.
The season in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, on the other hand, was much better, with resounding victories in some of the best courses in Europe, which allowed us to dream of the Top 8 in various phases. Finally, the competition became somewhat long, running out of options a few dates from the end.
In the Endesa League, the irregular march even complicated access to the PlayOff, which was certified on the last day. The quarterfinal clash, against a FC Barcelona team that would win the title, ended with a clear 2-0 victory, ending the men's season.
