2015-16

The second year of history began with a similar approach. The core of the team continued under the orders of José Canales with Juanlu Navarro as assistant, with one more year of experience as a block. Rebeca Cotano, Leles Muñoz, Begoña Pallardó, María Domenech, Sara Saiz, Virginia Sáez, Irene Sotos and Esther Díaz formed a skeleton that was joined by players such as Lucía Ripoll and the important arrival of Silvia Collado to the inside game. During the year, players such as Marta Camarasa, Lucía Saáiz, Lucía de la Cruz or a young Claudia Canuto will participate in the team.

The games went by and the victories did not stop coming. An immaculate 12-0 in the first group phase gave way to another no less immaculate 10-0 in the second phase. The group will be joined mid-season by an experienced Ana Rosa Artetxe. The taronja machine, more consistent, was on its way to the promotion phase without having lost a single game. Castellón was the last hurdle to achieve the coveted promotion.

Castellón's Polideportivo Grapa hosted the promotion phase to Liga Femenina 2 from May 19 to 22. Valencia Basket opened the phase beating a dangerous Instituto Veritas from Madrid by 56-65. In the second game of the group, a resounding victory against Clínica Sanz Vázquez 34-75 to have access to the definitive cross that would give the team that would promote to the silver category.

It was Sunday, May 22nd in Castellón and a tough game against a team with tradition and weight in Spanish women's basketball, Real Canoe, was presented. After an evenly matched game, there are very few seconds left and the scoreboard reflects a tie at 67. Esther Díaz takes a sideline throw-in and sees Begoña Pallardó's cut towards the low post. Begoña turns on herself and penetrates through the middle to shoot a layup with her left hand from 3 meters that enters tame. There is no more time left, a group of players run to the center of the court to jump for joy.

25-0 and promotion, the perfect season. Valencia Basket was promoted to the silver category, we were a Liga Femenina 2 team.
