Offensive solidity win to break the bad streak in Badalona (89-104)

Liga Endesa round 23

Valencia Basket ended their losing streak on the court of Joventut Badalona and conquered one of the toughest venues in the Liga Endesa, winning by 89-104 in a game where they recovered from a poor start and gradually found their rhythm to take control with a 8-31 run, fueled by a collective effort on both ends of the floor led by Jean Montero in top shape (32 points and 44 efficiency rating) and Nate Sestina’s accuracy from beyond the arc.

The orange team started the game trailing due to the perfect offensive start from the home side, who gained an eleven-point lead. However, Valencia improved on both ends of the floor from that moment on and slowly chipped away at the deficit. Ribas' three-point shooting kept his team ahead until a 0-12 run from Valencia Basket late in the first half gave them the lead at the break, with Montero as the main offensive weapon. Semi Ojeleye took over in the third quarter to extend that lead, and when the home team attempted to close the gap, Montero once again showcased his good form to ensure there would be no comeback, leaving their opponent—who is fighting for the top spots—four games behind, plus the head-to-head advantage.
