Lucas Marí will play the 2025–26 season in the NCAA 

Valencia Basket and shooting guard Lucas Marí (Godella, 1.97m, 10/20/2005, 19 years old) have reached an agreement for the player to take advantage of an opportunity to continue his personal, athletic, and academic growth in the United States’ college league system (NCAA) during the 2025–26 season.

Valencia Basket retains the rights to Lucas Marí and will reassess the situation together with the player once the upcoming season concludes.

Lucas Marí joined the Valencia Basket youth academy in 2016 and brought the family name back to the "Mur dels Somnis" when he made his Liga Endesa debut against Unicaja on November 27, 2022—earning a place alongside his father, José Manuel, on the wall that honors all academy players who have debuted with the first team.

Since then, Lucas has been a regular participant in the daily training sessions of our men’s professional team and has made 12 appearances with the pro Men's team. Additionally, he has represented Spain at various youth international levels, winning silver medals at both the 2022 U17 World Cup and the 2023 U18 European Championship.
