Valencia Basket opens its quarterfinal series on the Barça's court

28/05/2023

Valencia Basket men's team opens its 17th consecutive participation in the Endesa League Playoffs visiting Barça's court (Monday 29, 9:00 p.m., Palau Blaugrana, Movistar+ Deportes) in the first game of its quarterfinals series against the blue and purple team.

The Taronja squad faces Barça for the sixth time in the Playoffs, and although they fell in the first four precedents, they won the last time these two teams met in the Playoffs, in the quarterfinals of 2017.

The Palau Blaugrana has become a court in which Valencia Basket has a recently balanced record (they have won six of their last twelve visits in national competition) although Barça has been intractable this season at home, with a perfect 17-0 at home in acb.

In the previous two this season in Barcelona, the victory went to the Barça team in both the Endesa League (81-75) and the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague (85-71).

Sam Van Rossom, Xabi López-Arostegui and Millán Jiménez still sidelined and the taronja expedition has moved the 14 players available to Barcelona, so before the game one of their three non-EU players and a another of his non-formative players will be ruled out of the final roster.
