La Fonteta hosts a knockout game for the semifinals vs. U-BT Cluj-Napoca

Valencia Basket men's team returns to European competition to face U-BT Cluj-Napoca in the BKT EuroCup quarterfinals in a single-elimination game (Wednesday, March 13, 20:30h, Fonteta, #Vamos). This game will close the second round of eliminations.

Thanks to their leadership in the Regular Season, the team earned the right to play in this decisive game in front of their fans. The pre-game festivities will begin two hours before tip-off, and the goal is to create the atmosphere of a big European night.

In a matchup between the two highest-scoring teams in the competition, accuracy and the ability to minimize the opponent's offensive capabilities appear to be key factors in determining who will secure a spot in the semifinals.

Although historical results show that the Valencia team has advanced from the quarterfinals 75% of the time, their record in single-elimination games is less favorable, at 1-2.

This will be the third time these two teams meet in an official game, following a comeback in Romania where Valencia needed 20 three-pointers to win, and a victory in the previous Fonteta encounter, thanks to an excellent second quarter that decided the game.

With confirmed absences of Ethan Happ and Sergio De Larrea, coach Pedro Martínez hopes to have Jean Montero available, who missed Saturday's game due to a left ankle sprain.
