Hapoel Shlomo Tel Aviv, a historic team that has made a strong commitment to try to reach the top quickly

BKT EuroCup semifinals game 1

Valencia Basket men's team will face in the coming days its tenth semifinal of the BKT EuroCup with a best-of-three series against Hapoel Shlomo Tel Aviv, having the home-court advantage. The first game will be played on Tuesday, March 25, at 20:30 hours at La Fonteta. This match will be the first official meeting between these two teams, making Hapoel Shlomo Tel Aviv the 108th opponent in our continental history and the fifth Israeli team we face in international competitions. They will be a formidable opponent, arriving in excellent shape: They have not lost since February 10 and come to our arena with an active streak of eight wins in a row in both the BKT EuroCup and the Israeli League.

Hapoel Shlomo Tel Aviv is celebrating its ninetieth anniversary in a season where, so far, it remains on track to meet the high expectations set at the beginning of the year: they lead their national league and have reached the BKT EuroCup semifinals for the first time. Following a significant investment since the new ownership took over in 2023, the red team has more than doubled its budget to attract top-level players from the previous EuroLeague season, such as Motley, Madar, and Caboclo, NBA veterans like Wainright and Blakeney, and experienced European-level players like Foster and Ragland, in addition to bringing in some of the best Israeli internationals. Since mid-November, they have been led by coach Dimitris Itoudis, who has two EuroLeague titles in his career.
